Nashville Women's Political Caucus

The Nashville Women's Political Caucus was chartered on October 4, 1973. The women listed as the "Incorporators" are Martha Ragland, Libby Fryer, Gena Carter and Rose Cantrell.

Since its inception, the members of the Nashville WPC have worked to ensure full and equal participation of women in government and political parties in Metro Davidson County.  And, because Nashville is the State Capitol and members of the Nashville WPC having easy access to legislators during sessions of the Tennessee General Assembly, the membership has taken an active leadership role in effecting positive changes in government policy, state laws and economic opportunities for all the women in Tennessee.
